Dancers with an amateur background, artists with a dance practice, who wish to train to become dance teachers.

PREREQUISITES


Entry into the program is conditional upon passing the Classical, Contemporary or Jazz EAT.


ADMISSIONS


The entry in training is done by registration by depositing a file between April and September.

DURATION OF THE TRAINING


Duration of the training in hours: 800 hours package

History of dance : 50 hours

Musical training : 110 hours

Anatomy Physiology : 50 hours

Dates of the training season 2022/2023 : from 17/09/22 to 28/04/23 

Training hours (as an indication) : 9am - 6pm

Periods of interruption: school vacations of the zone A

Training place : Centre Chorégraphique Calabash, 44 rue Pierre Delore 69008 LYON 

Group size : between 8 and 15 people

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


Dance History

● Analyze choreographic works.

● Workshops around the fundamentals and repertoire.

● Accompany each learner in defining and establishing their own artistic path.

● Know and understand the art of dance.

● To know the current trends in dance in France.

Musical Training

● Know the musical currents that have been linked to the major choreographic eras.

● Analyze musical works

● Know the solfeggio and its elementary practice

● Transcribe a musical excerpt gesturally

Anatomy Physiology

3 dance studios equipped with audio equipment
1 classroom equipped with audio and video, library and audio and video supports
Dematerialization of educational resources, timetables...
Documentary resources available: books, CDs, DVDs and educational resources
For the theoretical courses, they can be transmitted on paper, email or video
Material means at the disposal of the students: computer, WIFI, printer

 

EVALUATION


At the end of each period (December, March and May): 

● Ongoing assessment of learners by teachers, feedback on attendance during the period.

● Oral restitution of the continuous and end of period evaluations with the learner

● Exam situation with restitution of personal and/or group variations, evaluation and feedback from the teaching team present. Self-evaluation of the learners from video recordings of their performance.

● Proposal of progress axes.

OUTLOOK


The theoretical training of the dance teacher diploma allows :

- To integrate the pedagogical training of the dance teacher diploma 

- To continue the theoretical training for the students who did not validate the 3 theoretical Teaching Units.
